How to beat the Pro Football Points Spread by Bobby Smith.
I love my sports betting books and this one was a worthy read for the $10 price tag, especially after dropping my cash on the NY Jets v. Denver Broncos today it might help me reevaluate some tips. It offers a lot of statistical information from the last Ten-Fifteen Years of the NFL, how teams have performed betting wise, how to manipulate those stats for the best available bets against the spread, how teams have fared coming off winning seasons, turnover differential and many other stats etc..
According to the book the Eagles should cover the spread against the Giants this week because teams have fared well starting a new QB with a full week to get accustomed to the system (Brady and Romo are used as examples) and I should be betting on Total Points in Under's because it has apparently a 67 percent win percentage over the last ten years.
A nice little basic guide that has changed my view on some of the tips I make and it is a good read if your into American Football and gambling on it

From The Holocaust To Hogans Heroes by Robert Clary. he played Lebeau in Hogans. Talks about his life growing up in a large Jewish family living in France and how his whole family got arrested and dumped into concentration camps. Out of a family of 13, he was the only one who survived. To make it thru that and come out as a funny talented performer says a lot about him as a person. When his family were on the train, then he got taken off, and his parents were shipped off to Auschwiz, i teared up when he said his father had stood in the carriage of the train for 3 days, not speaking and how Robert wished he sat and talked with him, knowing what he knows now. Imagine being 16 years old and your neighbours and friends dob you in to the Nazis just for being Jewish? then you either get sent to these hell hole camps or gas chambers. French people actually turned Jews in, then pelted them with stones as they were being led away. Then once the war broke out, these same French people were asking the Allies to save them. I dont get that, but then i wasnt in that situation so its hard to say what you'd do.

Four Kings by George Kimball. A account of the last golden era of boxing documenting the series of fights involving Roberto Duran, Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler & Tommy Hearns. I found it unbiased, each fighter is given equal coverage throughout the book and a excellent read if you remember this series of 9 fights these men had with each other.

I finished reading " Brotherhoods " by Arthur Veno earlier in the year, now I've picked up another bikie book called " Outlaws " Adam Shand.
Only 50 odd pages in, but a lot of it centers on Veno's influence over the SA Clubs, and Veno's own agenda at introducing a proposed confederation of clubs. A lot of it, in fact is retelling a lot of the same story as Veno, from a different prospective.

hey nath...did you ever see the book about the creation of the bandidio's and the subsequent shootout at the Milperra tavern with the jock ross and the Como's ? If you can remember the name, I'll have a look out for it. I started reading a book on the Hell's Angels, obviously the American Angels, just after I finished the Veno book. Didn't really get into it, a lot of it feels like you're reading short stories from the world of SAMCRO than anything based in reality.

The Cartel by Ashley & JaQuavis Carter is the illegitimate son of Carter Diamond and comes to Miami after learning of his fathers death. He then takes over The Cartel which has Miami on lock.Enter Matee the ruthless killer that is out for revenge. The things these families go through is unreal. Miamor is part of the murder mamas who is sleeping with the enemy and when all paries involved figure out what is going down who is left standing? Matee? The Cartel? Or is it the Murder Mamas? The book has plenty of twists and turns almost to many, over all it was an intriguing read and would highly recommend if you are a fan of Urban culture and Rap Music

The Unlikeliest Champion: The Incredible Story of the 2011 UConn Huskies and Their Run to the College Basketball National Championship by Aaron Torres.
Details the UConn Huskies run to the 2011 national championship. It provides a back history of Kemba Walker and all the players on the team, and also a review of the poor performance of the 2010 team that made this season more remarkable. Overall a excellent read that you can feel the authors passion for the huskies and worth the $7.99 price tag. I have this in a kindle file if anyone is interested i can upload it.
