Yeah, there may be a thread about this somewhere, but that was then... this is now! What are you playing at the moment, and what on? On my phone I play - Words with Friends - Word Trick - Song Pop - Movie Pop (fuck you, Skinnydragon!) - What's That Phrase - Moxie (nerdy word game) PS3 I am still playing Skyrim, which I love, but GTA V arrived at my place yesterday, and I may be running on two hours sleep at the moment  Won't be getting the new NBA 2K14 until I upgrade to the PS4 later in the year. What's everyone else wasting their time on? |

Started playing GTA5 last night.
What is there left to say. It's Game of the Year, and probably the best game this generation has to offer.

Drooling over GTAV. Gotta get my shit together & grab it from Big W for $78.
I still play PS3 GTAIV multiplayer from time to time.

Probably 8 hours over the last couple of days.
A handful of missions. The storylines, even the most mundane sort of missions are entertaining.
- Spent probably an hour easily 4WD'ing just to see how far I could go.
- Stole a helicopter the next day and did a full lap around the island. Yeap, an Island.
- Got high on a new strain of weed and got abducted by aliens.
- Been kicked out of strip clubs multiple times.
- Done up a raised Pick-Up truck, then destroyed it by accident.
- now, have an orange Ferrari sitting in Michael's garage I refuse to drive.

GTA5 PS3
Unboxed it last night.
About 9GB of data installed, FMD!!
2 hours play.
Cars stolen: heaps
Wasted x 2
Did about 4 missions Main Story.
Intro in the snow was refreshing, gives it a Mid West vibe.
Franklin shot some Mexicolas, stole a bike, towed a old car, got a beard & a dark hoodie & cap. Love some of the car designs & handling is slicker than 4.
Was chasing the biker early on & cut thru a movie studio & smashed into what looked like the creaturesfrom Alien, but green. Great to see it as a random living city. Thought 4 was big, barren & a little dull.
Cool thing I noticed, the older style GTAIV graphics suit the setting of a darker grimy NYC.
GTA5 set in LA is brighter, sunnier & the graphics shine with latest tech.
Very clever development/design by Rockstar.
The music is awesome as per usual.
I will grab all of them them & add to my iTunes.
Can't wait for Online, too.

I was going to pick up gta v but saw the ludicrous $110 price tag at ebgames and $90 at jbhifi for that price I can go steal a car and pick up a hooker in real life not like I haven't done it before.
Is it really as good as people are saying

Drive out to the country.
Crashed thru into an Army Base, got a **** Wanted rating, wasted in a SUV.
Luckily even got an assault rifle.
Picked up a huge black SUV ute & took it back to Franklins house.
Did a mission with Michael & Franklin chasing down a stolen yacht/trailer.
Michael won a running race at the park.
Did a car race, but didn't win it.
Franklin mission with a shotgun/light at a recycling plant, was intense stuff.
One of the great things are random encounters (?) like RDR, stopped a robbery by wasting the perps, another was plugging a robber & taking his $500.
Visited a bright fancy place that employs single mothers. Donated some cash.

That's what I can't understand. You can go into K-Mart, Big-W, Target.. and a new release game is $74-78. Including GTA5. You walk into EbGames, or formally the franchise known simply as " GAME ", and it's $110+ for a game. Why? Ok, sure video games and media is only a tiny part of the Westfarmer's and Woolworth's inventory. But you'd think places like EbGames would be competitive in the market.. Why the hell did people line up at midnight to pay $110 for the game they pre-ordered, when there's.. only based on personal experience.. 100+ copies just on PS3 at Big W for $30 less the following morning. Unless the awkward banter between you and a Warcraft specialist is worth that $30. |

EB were shilling the Atomic Blimp code as part of the pre-order. I didn't bother & grabbed a Big W copy. I'm even going to make a simple GTA5 blu ray cover to the original stays squeaky clean.
