What Would You Pay To Meet Your Hero?

Saw in the paper this week that KISS, Motley Crue and Thin Lizzy are touring together and KISS are offering fans a VIP package which includes a ticket to the show, backstage meet and greet and some merch for $1500. Crue have same package for $899

So i'm throwing it out here, what would you pay to meet your idols and do you have any thoughts on these packages? Too much, its worth it, dont care either way? Who would you get star struck for?

For me I think its too much but its not like they are forcing people to pay it. You can just get a normal concert ticket, but even those are well over $100

Nothing beats my Mania package tho.

I'd invite Angelina Jolie to dinner.
Start with some hoerderves.
Bust a bottle of Dom Peruginon '59.
Couple of seafood crabs for main.
Creme brûlée for dessert.
I'd give her a back rub & she can smoke a cigar.
By the end of the night she'll be exhausted & can sleep at my secret tropical hideout.
She might even add to that big family of hers...

Kiss and Motley made a fair enough point I guess that these meet and greets arent forced on anyone and there an alternate revenue stream to dwindling record sales...having said that, I dig Motley and Kiss, been in the KissArmy forever AND I wouldnt pay what their asking, I dont even go to gigs anymore because of spiralling ticket costs...so any of my "heros" are just gonna miss out on my doosh

I'm the same way recky. I reckon i passed up about a dozen concerts in the last 2 years coz now I'm too travel focused. $100 for a concert that lasts 2 hours, $50 for a tshirt, then another $50 for taking the night off work, dont need it.

with KISS, they have 5 songs off their new album on Youtube now so nuts to buying the cd anymore

I got my tickets... Couldn't gather the $500 in time to get the front row section, so pretty shattered about that. Settled for the $130 tickets. Being in the current financial situation I'm in, there is no chance I'd pay 1.5g to meet them. I've been a fan of theirs since I was 2 years old, and I'd love to meet them... but at that price, no chance.

Not my hero but my cousin paid $220 as a present for me to shake mike tysons hand and get him to sign a boxing glove on the weekend he seemed like a real genuine guy for someone that has a bad rep.
Both myself and my cousin walked up when only one person was allowed to have the glove signed he nudged security out of the way and shook my cousins hand I thought it was very classy,

i didnt know rapists could be real genuine guys. Saw him at Lone Pine Sanctuary where he was asked to hold a koala and he wussed out coz he was worried about diseases and getting bit.

May be one of only a few but I still believe him when he says he didn't rape that chick. He's done his time & had nothing to lose by saying he did it but still maintains his innocence. Mike Tyson's done some silly things in the past (punching out his ex missus, biting Holyfield's ear etc) but I reckon at the heart of it all he's a decent enough bloke who got in with the wrong crowd & made a few bad choices. He's definitely turned his life around over the last few years & deserves another chance at changing peoples perceptions..
