He's a decent enough bloke? Laughable. People change. He's grown up a fair bit over the last few years. He's admitted his (many) mistakes & is trying to be a better man for his wife & kids. Having that much fame thrust upon anyone at such an early age is going to cause some problems (have a look at your average footy player or child music/movie star) add to that the people he had surrounding him (including Don King among many other parasites who took most of his money while continuously feeding his ego) & it's not hard to see where he can have taken a few wrong turns. I'm not condoning it, just saying how it is. You look at him now & he comes across as a genuinely humble person who's trying to do the right thing. In essence, a decent enough bloke.. |

Unless you have known him personally for a long time you have no idea what he IS like. I'm just going by what you have said about him and it seems weak. If this individual has changed his life after being misguided then good(although who would tell him to eat another man's ear or rape a girl? They would appear like actions of a man with deep emotional issues getting caught out in the spotlight) He sounds to me to be in no way a "decent enough bloke". |

My two cents here...
Who knows if he even raped that woman. if he is such a bad man what was she doing going to his hotel room at 3am in the morning.
He has been humbled in life when your daughter dies after choking herself to death on a treadmill power cord stuff like that will make you test your faith. As he said be humble or the lord will humble you

I still don't believe he raped that woman. He still to this day professes his innocence while freely admitting to everything else he's done. There have been a few women in America who have tried to go down that route (rape accusation after consensual sex) to try & make a quick buck out of a sports star. The fact that sports teams now have counseling sessions on this issue (& also telling the players of said basketball/football/baseball team etc) to TAKE THE CONDOM WITH THEM after sex so the girl can't get herself pregnant shows how easy it is for these young kids to completely have their lives ruined because of a slight lapse in judgement.
vile I'm not going to argue this point any more, you've got no time for Tyson, I think he was a 'decent enough bloke' who got caught up in the wrong crowd & made some terrible choices (rape not one of them) & is now turning his life around deserving of another chance. But for his wife & kids sake I hope it's option B.

Lets be honest, who here thinks they could be the Heavyweight Champion of the world at such a young age and not be a complete dick and make mistakes.
I think he has shown that he is growing as a person and trying to be a better man.

I reckon probably 95% of people in his situation with the people around him (including Don King) would've ended up going down a similar path. And vile: Yeah it's all cool not arguing here either.
