Totally agree mate i love the show Allthough i actually prefered HBO rome..A bit more realistic and the characters were more interesting imo..Check it out if you get the chance I have watched a couple of episodes of Rome and it didn't really grab me. I might have to give it another look Didnt really fully grab me at first either but eventually just loved it...Titus pullo was one of the best characters ive seen..Hes loves fuckn and fightn, just a brute with a good heart.

Strangely I saw a heap of movies a few weeks ago. During a house party in Kalgoorlie that went for 3 days & nights movie after movie were being bought up on the megatron sized television.
The Last Air Bender
Is actually a decent movie. I thought it would more of this teen-novel to movie crap in the vain of Twilight and what not. But it's good to an extent. I know it was slammed in the reviews, but if you're willing to sit back and turn of the brain for a few hours this will do it.
Think four nations at war, each controlling a different element. Fire Nation are the bad-asses trying to kill every one looking for this chosen kid who can control all elements. Pretty out there, it's essentially a live action kids show, splashed with some Never Ending Story crap and some crazy special effects.
**.5
Predators
I wish I sat through it all, it was gunning along nicely. From what I saw it was good. I always found the first half of these types of movies is always the better half. The build up, the character development, the revelations, the suspense prior to the shoot-outs.
I'll have to hit it up on Blu-Ray.
**.5

The Evil Dead [1981] One of my favourite movies. Cheaply made, schlocky, scary & damn funny. Watch it once or twice a year.

Battle: Los Angeles. Loved it, left the cinema hyped up to the max. There's nothing new about the storyline - aliens come to Earth, and want to take over, and the Americans have to save the world. Action is great though, and it sets a frenetic pace.

Had a little spare time, finally got around to watching... Sons Of Anarchy season 1 eps 1,2 & 3. I must say I'm impressed. The quality actors, situations & script are all top notch. Basically a drama that surrounds a bikie group in California, lots of intrigue, trust issues. Exactly my sort of Tv show.

Bitch Slap [2009] Modern take on exploitation 70's movies. Hot chicks, knives, guns, slo-mo boobs, cars, lesbians & violence. It's pretty shonky made, but fun for a bit of slap & tickle on a Friday night. Don't go spending your food money to buy it.
Strike Back [ABC/BBC] Very solid action adventure viewing. A no nonsense British SAS soldier "fixes" problems for his government. This week he tries to bust out a convict in a Zimbawe prison. A successful mix of "24" & a James Patterson novel.

Four Lions [2010] Black comedy from the UK. Centres on 4 wannabe suicide bombers, who are somewhat deluded & heavy handed clumsy It came highly recommended, but I thought it was just OK. Kind of needs subtitles for the mumbling minorities.
