Favourite album would easily be Odyssey Number Five I thought that was a brilliant album.

Favourite songs in no particular order. My Happiness, D.A.F. The Day you Come, Living Type, On My Mind

Did you ever see them live, what did you think?

Never did. I would have seen them when they came to Bendigo in October but The Smashing Pumpkins were on the same night.

Where do they stand among other Australian groups?

They've got to be up there with the best. They've been a very successful band for an awful long time.

Any other thoughts on Powderfinger?

I was never a huge fan of theirs but did always like them. I was always a little pissed that they held Something for Kate out of so many awards. Sure they did earn some but I still shake my head in disbelief that Something for Kate's Official Fiction got knocked off by Vulture St.

I really lost interest towards the end. I didn't really like their last 2 albums all that much. Golden Rule I thought was the worst of their albums that I had listened to.

Did you ever see them live, what did you think?, saw them in brissy in a pub years ago, alright i suppose, didnt hate them

Where do they stand among other Australian groups? - well my top ten includes Angels, Tatts, Hooks, Radiators, dragon, Chisel / barnesy, the jets and the hoodoos, so i guess i'd put 'finger in my top 20

Any other thoughts on Powderfinger? - they sounded alright, not exactly my cup of tea, but cant knock their efforts

First song you heard by them? Pick you up. Loved it instantly, and have loved them ever since.

Fave songs/albums? Fave album would probably be Odyssey Number 5. These Days would be my fave song of theirs, but really I don't think I've heard a bad song from the boys.

Did you ever see them live, what did you think? I saw them at a festival, I think it was Livid, many years ago. I didn't get to go to the farewell shows, which I'll probably regret in years to come.

Where do they stand among other Australian groups? Above all of them, just my opinion.

Any other thoughts on Powderfinger? Not really, the above would sum it up.

Never been a huge fan, but don't dislike them at all. Consider them good 'background' music but little more

I liked the Internatinalist album, from there on, because of the lead singers douche-baginess, I've hate the band since.

First song you heard by them? Pick You Up I think it was. Thought it was average, and didn't inspire to search for anything else by them. I find the band dreary and one tempo for the most part.

Fave songs/albums? These Days I guess is one song I don't mind.

Where do they stand among other Australian groups? I've never understood the hard on for Powderfinger. Cold Chisel, Crowded House, Noiseworks, Dragon, Hoodoo Gurus, all are bands I think of right away as the top of the Australian/NZ tree.

Any other thoughts on Powderfinger? Nope, think I've said it all.
