Watching a cool show on The Beatles the other night and they brought up how all 4 of them met. So I started thinking about circumstance, and how things happen for a reason. So, I'm gonna open it up for discussion and would like others to give me an example of circmstance. And to make it interesting, give me one from every day life or the entertainment or sports world and 1 from personal experience. I'll start off so you get what I mean.
Being a huge Elvis fan reminded me of how he got discovered. He went into Sun Studios to make a record for his mother and during his song, the lady working there decided to tape it to play to her boss Sam Phillips, as he always kept saying he wanted to find a singer with a unique sound. Something about Elvis' singing made her flick the switch and tape it. the rest is history. Another is him joining the army and getting stationed in Germany. While he was there he met Priscilla, his dad met his 2nd wife Dee and her 3 boys would all grow up to work for Elvis. He also met Joe Esposito and Charlie Hodge who would join the Memphis Mafia. If he didnt join the army, no meeting with them or Priscilla, no Lisa Marie, and maybe Graceland wouldnt have been opened to the public since that was Priscilla's idea too.
Ok now 1 from personal. My dad was born in England and came here as a 10 pound pom. He was initially given a choice between NSW or QLD but then told both had their quota of poms, so was then told, either SA or Victoria. He was told that SA would prob be a nicer place to raise a family. So he went there, got a job driving a truck for McCrae Brothers and met my mum.
