Massive terrorist attack, blowing up majority of the population. Will survive in some inpenetrable bomb shelter. When its safe to come out, going to get into some non stop serious sex to repopulate the world. Make a movie out of it called Hollywood does the World.  |

Anything that had been "predicted" (not that anything has I'm pretty sure, it's just the end of the calender and it restarts) to happen would be pretty obviously happening Planet X wise.
The sun can take humans out at any moment but this years cycle is a low one I believe and I don't see how Mayans (as sharp as they were) could "predict" that.
WW3 isn't out of the question, doubt it'll kick off in the next four days though.
Loving the people who are utterly sure nothing will happen, that's just like predicting something will.
No special plans, maybe head up to the volcanoes and star watch or something different weather permitting.

Forgot, Pole shift? There might be evidence for it. Plants flash frozen in the stomach of Mammoths and palm trees in the antarctic and may also cause any end of the world" events that lead to myths like floods and volcanoes, etc. I find the idea very interesting at the very least as just a concept, believe Albert Einstein though it possible (not specifically he 2012 crap but the idea of poles shifting) but I don't know enough about the subject. I think the poles are shifting slowly anyway, possibly? I read that ages ago I believe, something about Airports having to repaint something something. I dunno, google it, if you hit hollow earth go back a bit.  |

Lets go to the pub!" Pole Shift, interesting. On "it would take thousands on years to do anything" I've noticed science doesn't seem to like not knowing the answer these days as opposed to the wonderment of a Carl Sagan back in the day... I feel they can be stuck in their learning and thought processes and down play anything that might be too far out of the box. They have careers to think about after all in a world driven by (doesn't need to be I'll add IMHO) by the all mighty $$$$$ ____________________________ And yeah, NASA are a bunch of players, yo. Various people have stated in interviews. I actually find it more concerning they're even concerning themselves debunking something they can't possibly know until the day passes unhindered. Predicting nothing will happen is just another prediction. Science is our best guess at the end of the day but it has to remain open to new ideas or it's just a religion of faith in an old book. |
