Can't stand Kendrick. Worst rapper to come out of compton in a while. He may have a few old school style tracks, but his collaborations with the whack artists from the south just ruin his credibility. Plus his multiple voices are annoying.

im a massive Airbourne fan and when they released Black Dog Barking back in May I had nothing else but that cd and their previous albums on the truck cd player for ages, every now and then id thrown in some Rose Tattoo, Screaming Jets, Angels, Nickelback, Hitmen, i even regressed and whacked on a sunnyboys comp i made for a while but id also get back to Airbourne but recently i bought a John Cougar best of cheapo at a BP and have been flogging it recently, along with Airborne and then i found his classic album from the 80s at a BP the other day for about $12 so i grabbed it too and now its in the current rotation
no one is better than AirbournE though !!

Tangerine Dream German electronic legends who started in the late 1960s. They do the music score for GTA V. They have released 100+ albums. Incredible.
Die Antwoord Very weird South African rappers. Songs like I Fink U Freeky. Unusual.
Joe Clay 1950s cool rockabilly. Sixteen Chicks is a ripper tune.
Nightwish Finnish symphonic metal with sometimes an operatic chick up front. Epic & surreal.

I've just been listening to old tunes lately and it's starting to make me feel like an old man.
Any recommendations on some current alt/hard rock for this old guy?

Some of those bands have been around for 20 years. Love Stone Temple Pilots and Faith No More. Few more there I'm pretty familiar with.
I'll do some searching in the morning for some of the others. Cheers.
