The A Team. I really enjoyed this. I liked how they stuck with the storyline, and wrapped it all up in the movie. Was not expecting it to be that good. It's the little things that made it great for me. I fuckin loved The A-Team. Loved that it poked fun at itself with how over the top it is. Might grab it before Christmas me thinks

Been a little samey with my TV shows. Always watching: Hustle Dexter Breaking Bad True Blood
Watched Burn Notice 2007 Pilot part 1. Witty drama take on the spy genre. Reminds me a little of the animated Archer, though this is a little more serious. A spy is "burnt" by the company & left to fend for himself in Miami, Florida. Quite a few well known TV co-stars make some appearances. Stars from Lost, Dexter & the Terminator franchise appear & holy hardcore hero Bruce Campbell is a regular co-star. I'm quite liking it, it's well written & doesn't take itself too seriously, either, without being stupid or silly.

Been watching " Long Way Round "
The series about Ewen McGregor and his mate riding around the world on a set of BMW bikes.
Didn't catch my interest at the time, I thought it was just a couple of cashed up celebs playing biker.
But it's actually really, really good. But a few things are begging to be asked.
As someone who rides a dirt bike or two. Why the hell, did they decide on two of the heaviest, biggest touring bikes they could find knowing they would be spending a bulk of the riding, off road? Sure it carries a lot of fuel. Then, why with a support crew in toe usually just around the corner, why carry an extra 50kg of shit on the back?
McGregor could barely ride the thing at low speed due to the sheer weight and his inability to ride the bike caused the most problems.
Then, why when theres miles of dry grass to the left, miles of dry grass to the right, did they decide to ride through some of the deepest, muddiest patches of dirt roads they could find, only to drop their bikes every 30 seconds or complete bog the things.
Makes zero sense. Hell, the camera man knew the grass was there.

Been watching " Long Way Round " Nath, I got long way round and the long way down , Sydney to Tokyo and by any means neccesary as well....Charlie Boorman did the last two but they are the grouse none the less as for your questions..well they tried to get KTM which are a slightly lighter bike but the company were not keen at all after seeing the proposed route, I woulda gone for a jap or Bultaco Dakkar bike myself....and they were only gonna see the 4 x 4's at border crossings ( in theory anyway) so they had to carry a ton of shit whether they wanted to or not.....and yes Ewen is a road guy, he needed more off road training at the very least

Thats right, there was the KTM option. But really, the BMW was on the cards anyway.
But what was stopping them, simply purchasing the KTMs from as where?

they were getting sponsored and giving the sponsorship in part to the charity they were supporting whilst on the trip...so it was an exercise in good publicity for BMW

Defendor ***1/2 Woody Harreslon portrays a very unusual character, here. Was expecting somthing along the lines of Kick-Ass. It's not quite like that, it's not really an action movie & maybe not quite comedy, either. More of a realistic dark drama that happens to be about a guy who happens to don a costume. It doesn't grab you instantly as a classic But I think in time it will be one of those DVD cult favourites. Was done on a rather small budget of 3.5m & shot in 20 days.

The Social Network.
These guys are all pussies. If Zuckerberg ripped me off like he did those guys, he would be 6ft under right now. Don't give a fuck what happens to me, the cunt would not be alive to enjoy it all.
I can't believe how greedy people can be. You've made a business worth millions, yet, you want it all, don't want to share it with the people who helped you get there. Mark Zuckerberg = Steve Jobs Jnr.
I don't have a facebook account, and never will. It's a fad, an it'll pass.

I don't have a facebook account, and never will. It's a fad, an it'll pass. However, is the movie any good? They're talking Oscar worthy performances in Jesse Eisenberg. It's been getting rave reviews from all corners. As for Facebook being a flash in a pan, I disagree. Myspace on the other hand has quickly faded out of popularity. And prior to the Myspace era, every other social network was a poorly designed, very un-user friendly, complicated and lacked depth outside of an early dating site. In less than 4 years, Facebook has been updated countless times, both good and bad, regardless. It's reinvented in some ways every 12 months. It's usability is fantastic, it's simple. Simply designed, simply laid out and functionality is an ease. Myspace on the other hand, allowed far too much user control. Ill-designed websites by amateur coders, meant content heavy pages and half the time, meant your browser was crashing because 80 giant jpeg images were loading at once, while several youtube videos were pre-loading and some god awful mp3 was playing. Then we're talking about the expansion to mobile. Suddenly it's an entirely different story. A mass social network in the palm of your hands. Quick, easy to use and slowly but surely we'll see more and more mobile-only applications ( not " iphone " apps ) but independently developed applications accessible through facebook pages that will quickly change the game, that a being completely free product outside of data charges.

ahh yes, the movie is great I liked it, but I like Zuckerberg even less after watching it. I appreciate brilliance, not pinching an idea, and making it better, as pretty much anyone can do that. Don't really wanna post too much info about it, as don't wanna spoil for people. There are some award winning performances for sure. Both Jesse Eisenberg and JT are amazingly convincing, Eisenberg especially. That would not have been an easy role to pull off, and I think he did marvelous. I definately have to watch again, as there is so much talking so it's very very easy to miss things. I watched the dvix dvd screener floating around the net, good quality, but just has a watermark popup from time to time

Watched both Back to the Future and How to Train Your Dragon.
Everyone knows the awesomeness of BTTF, and it looked great on blu-ray.
Again, HTTYD was on blu-ray, and I find animation looks fantastic on BR. The movie itself, is one of the best animation movies out there. Easily Dreamworks best work. Whether you have kids or not, do yourself a favour and watch it.
