First song you heard by him? ABC ( well him and his brothers)
Fave songs/albums? - the jackson live album and Thriller
Who would you say he sounds like? - unique ( like most of the people in this thread)
Where does he stand among other all time great acts? - well I suppose he'd be near the top
Any other thoughts on Michael Jackson? - hmm...wasnt my cup of coffee, but he was talented...pity about the horrifying addiction to plastic surgery he had....wont touch the pedophile rumours

Fave songs/albums? Thriller, Bad. Both the song & the album
Who would you say he sounds like? Michael Jackson. A few of today's singers are trying to channel him but at the time he was one of a kind.
Where does he stand among other all time great acts? Definitely have to be up there, if only for tenure.
Any other thoughts on Michael Jackson? More so than even Freddie Mercury, the ultimate showman. His videos & concerts were groundbreaking & many many others have tried to copy him without being able to replicate his success. The biggest star on the planet for years, it's unfortunate he was dogged by those vicious rumours. I have a theory that he was so mentally scarred from being used & abused by his father from the age of 5, he developed an immense mistrust of adults & only felt comfortable in the company of other children, being that he probably never truly grew up himself. It's unfortunate that these people then tried to get their 15 minutes (& a substantial cash settlement/magazine interviews/tv interviews etc) out of him as well.
I look at all of the people he surrounded himself with & wonder apart from his children did he ever have any real friends who actually looked out for him or were they all just chasing the gravy train? I hope he can finally get some peace in the next world that always seemed to elude him in this one..

Who would you say he sounds like? No one else
Where does he stand among other all time great acts? He will be remembered forever

Fave songs/albums? Billie Jean, Beat It, Wanna Be A Startin' Somethin, Thriller, Rock With You, She's Out Of My Life.
Who would you say he sounds like? Pop with a rock edge at times, like in Beat It.
Where does he stand among other all time great acts? Apart from Elvis, he may be at the top. To have worldwide appeal for so long, to inspire singers, to inspire dancers, to inspire movie makers, he lived a full life.
Any other thoughts on Michael Jackson? Until I just typed this, I didn't realise how much of his stuff I liked. I'm a rock guy, I shouldn't really like that much of his stuff. And yet I do. If one of the above songs comes on Music Max, I always listen to it.

Having read JJ's post...i'm sort of leaning towards the theory that michael jackson was a 11 year old trapped in a 50 year old's body.
