Getting on my bike and riding to anywhere in the town I lived in, knowing I was safe.
Playing footy and soccer with mates on weekends. Training twice a week was also fun, unlike doing it in adult years, where it becomes a chore.
LJN WWF figures.
Having a school bag that was made of canvas, you'd put your name on it, have your friends sign it, put the names of your fave bands or sports teams on it. Virtually a portable graffiti wall.
Getting up at 5 or 6 on a Saturday morning, so my younger sister and I could watch all the latest clips on Rage.
What do the rest of you miss?

Making and racing our Billy Karts, remember when we were kids we used to race down this long driveway from some storage business which the descent was perfect for racing. After awhile in doing so, we got abit bored, so we got cudboard, dried branches, newspaper etc then lit it made a wall of fire and raced through it. The funny part was, when we broke through the wall of fire, my dad happened to walk past and saw us. So he was rather upset, grabbed our billy karts, chopped them up and ironically burnt them and copped a flogging.

Getting on my bike and riding to anywhere in the town I lived in, knowing I was safe. Not to get all serious. But this is a big one. Even in my home town, you wouldn't dare let your kid ride across to a different part of town these days. Even most adult stick to their neighborhood these days.

Best cartoons! He-Man, Transformers (saw the original movie at the cinemas when I was about 9), Voltron, G-Force, Inspector Gadget & so many more. Special mention goes to the Animaniacs & Pinky & the Brain when I was in my teens. Leaving home at 10am on the weekend & getting back after 6 that night. Usually just off to see a mate or sometimes just riding the bike around, down the beach or whatever. Knew I was safe, parents knew I was safe (& this was pre mobile to). That's never happening with my kid. Hey Hey it's Saturday & Wonderful world of Disney (Sunday nights). Both before the advent of Night footy. VFL. Now it's a national league I actually have to barrack for Collingwood in some games On the same lines, HOME GROUNDS!!! Early on the weekends to watch Rage. Now it's just shit. Star wars everything. They had Star Wars Icy poles! Thinking Michael Jackson was a man's man because he sung mean songs like 'Beat it'. Yo yo's Rocking out to AM radio! Walking on Sunshine!!! ;D Sunnyboys. Life just being better..

Queens Birthday firecrackers bonfire night Like you guys, just getting on my bike and going for a nice bike ride, with mates, or by myself, to wherever I wanted to go. Safety was not an issue, as it was safe. Saturday morning cartoons. I miss the feeling I had, when I watched wrestling as a kid in the 80's. 2c fairy bread, 40c meat pies and 20c packets of chips, 25c cheese and tomato sandwhiches, ahh and those Milo poppers and chocolate quick poppers. They were the bomb. They do not make them the same now, totally different. Loved this stuff from my primary school. They made the best cheese and tomato ever. There will be more to come

If you were a kid in the 80's and your on this forum you would have to miss WWF wrestling. The Hulkster, Macho Man, Mr Wonderful, JYd etc. It just not the same playing with my wrestling figures these days ;D And the ropes on the ring are broken The 80's were a good time to be a kid, He Man, Transformers, Monkey. One thing I miss about being a kid is thinking anything is possible because when you grow you realize that no Karate in the world is going to help Ralph Macchio's scrawny a**.

I agree with alot of them but 1 big one is not dealing with greedy, selfish asshole adults. The more I get older the more I think, god been a kid was so much more fun and easy. Adults are the worst!
