First song you heard by them? I was made for loving you i think
Fave songs/albums?everthing from the classic run of albums KISS - ALIVE II are all must haves there work in 80's/90's till now has been up and down with some very so so albums there still has been some great albums in there ie:CREATURES OF THE NIGHT,REVENGE,SONIC BOOM (but i own them all so so albums and all)
Seen them in concert?yes 2003 performing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), kick arse show but would have loved to have seen them in the 70's
Who would you say they sound like?For me kind of a mix of ALICE COOPER and THE WHO with a bit of BEATLES mixed in at times
Where do they stand among other all time great acts?top 20 for sure one of the greatest hard rock bands and pop cultue icons of all time
Any other thoughts on Kiss? One of my all time favourite bands who along with QUEEN i have allways liked and for me show that you can get it simple and straight forward and still makes classic great music

SONGS - rise to it, black diamond, great expectations, R&RAN, take it off, you wanted the best, god of thunder, nuthing to lose, 2000 man, shandi, i was made for loving you, lick it up, tears are falling, hide your heart, lets put the x in sex, unholy, war machine...etc etc
ALBUMS -alive 1, 2, 3 and with the MSO, hot in the shade, destroyer, revenge, animalize, creatures of the night, dynasty and dressed to kill
Seen them in concert?, yep...dynasty tour, hot in the shade tour, MSO show
Who would you say they sound like? -no one, once again, like a lot of the bands in this thread you know its kiss when you hear them
Where do they stand among other all time great acts?..musically top 20 , visually top 5
Any other thoughts on Kiss? - some people only like the originals, i like all versions of kiss that have been around...BUT...i felt for Bruce Kulick when the reunion tour started, he done out of a job for a drug addled arsehole ( Ace Frehley) that really didnt appreciate it...oh and Eric Carr..R.I.P

Like so many other Rock Glam bands from that era

For me they are no where near the top but I can understand why others may see them as one of the great bands ever

I dont think they would have received the exposure they got or the recognition without the stage show and make up. I rate there music average to good but as a total package they have captured many imaginations so I can see why they are so highly respected.
It was a fantastic gimick but the wrestling was average

Fave songs/albums? - Heavens on fire is their best song....... best album, easily Revenge.
Seen them in concert? - Yup
Who would you say they sound like? - Like KISS
Where do they stand among other all time great acts? - THE BEST

First song you heard by them? I was made for lovin' you, probably when it was released.
Fave songs/albums? Pretty much everything they have produced has had something good to great on them. The early stuff was more raw and much played.
Seen them in concert? Yes, twice. Once at Melbourne in a normal gig then when they palyed with orchestra. They are simply awesome live.
Who would you say they sound like? No idea, they are different.
Where do they stand among other all time great acts? I have a few bands that stand the test of time - Iron Maiden, Guns and Roses, Metallica and KISS. They are all different and unique, they all have a lot going for them. KISS has the superhero thing going for them, the make-up is just too cool.
Any other thoughts on Kiss? Much loved, want them to tour again.
