I like The Cure, never bought an album.. just a few song's I've download..
"Love song" would be my favorite. Mostly because 311 did a much better version of it..
I really like The Cure, even though they were a forerunner for all stylized-emo bands in the looks department, I like them because they have a really good pop sensibility. The songs are catchy, hooky and overall perfect for radio. I like that.

i turned on the tele one day and the Cure were playing "love cats" on some music show, probably Countdown, ...that was quite enough for me thanks...  |

Yep. Back in 1991 on the 'Wish' tour.
Who would you say they sound like?
I think they've pretty much got their own sound. There were times musically they sounded a little like New Order and Simple Minds but not very often.
Any other thoughts on The Cure?
Still one of my favourite bands. It's a shame they've ditched the keyboards now because the stuff they're churning out now doesn't have the ambience they once had.
