With Comedy Festivals popping up all over the place, thought we'd see who we rate and who we hate?
Who do you like?
Any you don't find funny?
Seems to be a difficult thing for females to break into. Any chicks you think go well?
Who have you seen live, good/average/crap?
From the ones who have done tv shows and/or movies (Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey, Mick Molloy, Jimoein to name a few), how have they fared? Did they remain funny to you?

Who do you like? Richard Pryor This man is the king. If you have yet to watch any of his early shows (70's), do yourself a favour and go seek them out. You can clearly see how he was Eddie Murphy's inspiration.

My favs would be; Russell Peters Robin Williams Chris Rock Martin Lawrence Eddie Murphy (the early years. Not a fan of this kids stuff at all) and the King Richard Pryor. Carl Baron isn't bad either. There's others, but I just finished up work so I'm buggered and can't think of any more of the top of my head. Shit I don't find funny, is that Naked Gun style crap, Jackass, and Benny Hill style comedy. Not a big fan of British comedy in general. This man is the king. If you have yet to watch any of his early shows (70's), do yourself a favour and go seek them out. You can clearly see how he was Eddie Murphy's inspiration. Pryor paved the way for a lot of comedians. Material used now is spawned from his work. Indeed he did, and he was funnier then them all IMO.

Pardon? There is more to Brit comedy than Benny Hill & Are You Being Served.
Try out Fawlty Towers Black Adder Porridge Extras - Ricky Gervais The Office - Ricky Gervais Peep Show
I'm not generally a fan os US TV comedy: Family Guy - never seen The Office Two & A Half Men - never seen
Richhard Pryor was legend, indeed. I'm going back & adding a few to my list.

Who do you like? Saw Arj Barker live once, he was f'n great. I'm crap with names, but the little lesbian Canadian chick who shows up on Good News Week whenever she's out here is very funny. Most others who pop up there, like Kitty Flanagan/Colin Lane/Frank Woodley/Akmal...all get a good laugh out of me.
Any you don't find funny? Carl Barron sucks all kinds of arse, probably the worst comedian I've ever heard. Josh Thomas irritates the hell out of me too.
Seems to be a difficult thing for females to break into. Any chicks you think go well? The ones mentioned above. Julia Morris has ben quite a success at it, but she's not a fave of mine.
Who have you seen live, good/average/crap? Arj Barker was great.
From the ones who have done tv shows and/or movies (Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey, Mick Molloy, Jimoein to name a few), how have they fared? Did they remain funny to you? Bit over Mick Molloy's efforts, but I still love the guy.
