First ep you remember seeing?
Fave characters?
Does it go too far at times with their jokes?
Has it had it's run?
Any other thoughts on Family Guy?

Probably remember first seeing season back in the day.
Didn't think much of it till it got cancelled and it came back. I thought it was a totally different take on the series. It went from The Simpsons with a twist of pop. culture to inventing it's own sense of humor.
I think Brian would have to be my favorite character.
I think it's had it's run. It's find it harder and harder to make myself watch it. We've got the last two seasons, and they'll probably the best yet, despite that, it's not far from it's last legs in terms of being an out-right series.
Better serve up doing the parody movies. I could easily see the series end and move into doing parodies of the Back the Future series, The Godfather trilogy, Lord of the Rings, etc. Even as a full blown box-office type production.
Final thoughts, they broke new ground 10 years ago. Yet I think the time is up.

First up i love the show.
I do think they did go to far in 1 skit i have sorta seen..I actually have not seen the episode but i saw the clip on the bill oriely show discussing it with sarah palin..Basically on the clip it had sarahs mentally challanged grandaughter shown to be older and on a date with chris and she slurred her words also not sure but i think they showed here having a eating disorder(but could be wrong about that as my memo is a bit faint) Now the onlything i find distasteful about the joke is that this kid is NOT fairgame if they joked about sarah, obama or any other celeb i may get a chuckle as they have put themselves in the publics eye where as that kid is just kid and doesnt deserve to be made fun of like that...just because she has famous parents and grandmother. I know the show is about being NOT political correct and to me that is fucking hilarious but to target a real person like that ..to me that is just poor.
What do you guys think ? am i my being over sensitive as i used to do some work with people with disabilitys and i found that some of them were absoulutley adorable .

First ep you remember seeing? The one where Chris and the family go into the witness protection program and Chris meets a boy named Sam, which turns out to be a girl.
Fave characters? Peter for his utter stupidity. Adam West is also fun too. And Mort Goldman 'His name is Dig Them'.
Does it go too far at times with their jokes? For me, yeah, it does. Any 'joke' that makes light of rape, molesting children or spousal abuse and I just change the channel. No need for that kind of humour. I think it's just done for shock value cause they can't come up with anything else.
Has it had it's run? I stopped watching after 3-4 seasons, cause it all started to be too much the same.
Any other thoughts on Family Guy? Does have some good stuff, but lacks the overall story telling quality of The Simpsons.

First ep - I was in love. It was the episode where Peter said he could sum up all the states of the US in one word and then exclaimed some made up word. Such a simple joke, but damn it made me laugh. (Yes, I am amused easily. ) I think Peter is by far my fave character. Does it go to far? No. I think South Park takes the cake with that one. I continue to watch the show whilst it's still fun. I love the show, probably enjoy it more than The Simpsons.
