First memories of watching it? Shit, I can't remember that, but I was a youngster, used to be on late at night, before or after the wrestling on channel 10. My mum, bro and I would watch it always Fave characters? Lizzie, Bee, and now in hindsight as I like heels, The Freak. Fave storylines? Now you're really pushing the memory. Can't really explain the details, but some of the riots ans, and escapes. Best Aussie show of all time? Ahh, it's up there. Kingswood Country is also up there. Any other thoughts on Prisoner? Was a bloody good show for it's time, and Ive' gone some of the DVD's and the show is still watchable. It was almost OZ, but womens style 30 years prior.

In all honesty I can't remember enough about it to even make a comment. I did watch it when I was young but haven't gone back and watched it again to refresh my memory.

ARRRHAHAHAHAHA...fukken prisoner...hahahahhaa....yes i remember doing my homework to Lizzie, bee , the freak and frankie.....very atypical soapie for the times, somehow it had that crawfords production look and feel to it....cant say i'd rush out and watch it now but at the time i thought it was the grouse, but then i thought roller derby was real as well

Have been going through this show the last year or so, up to about ep 270. Only 422 to go.
Excellent story telling and engaging characters even if you don't like the actions of them at times.
First memories of watching it? Not so much a particular memory, more remembering the names Bea, Lizzie, Doreen being the main group and Vera the hag who wants them to be treated as animals.
Fave characters? Vera is my fave, just a cold hearted bitch. Love that smirk she got when she put someone in their place. Until watching it again in the last year, didn't realise Doreen turned face and heel a few times. She could be Dopey Doreen, but when she turned, she became a heavy who preyed on those weaker than her. She was also very vulnerable in a few stories, like with how she became pregnant. Sandy Edwards rose to main events very quickly but proved her worth with a number of good stories running off her.
Reb Keane is a huge fave who comes in later on. Very cool under pressure.
Fave storylines? Terry Harrison, Geoff Butler, Jock Stewart, all had good stuff going on. Evil men, a very entertaining evil.
Best Aussie show of all time? For me, yes for sure. Intertwined angles and mostly the face and heel turns are justified.
Any other thoughts on Prisoner? One thing that annoys me, Doreen escaped twice so far and also has been released twice, only to end up back inside. Gets a bit pissy when someone makes a daring escape or has a teary goodbye with piano music, but then ends up back behind the bars only a short while later.

You guys been catching this? I just caught the replay, and I'm still a fan. I got a couple of the DVD's, but didn't get too many as it was going to be an expensive effort to collect this set. Will be watching this every night. Good onya foxtel for putting some old classic Aussie TV on
