Hi,
just thought i ask what people watched
-i wish the today and sunrise show would change the news when the do the news every 30min its the same shit for 3hrs
today tonight and aca -they both say exculsive when both programs show the same thing that they say is exclusive

I don't and won't watch any of these shows. Sunrise is a little different, yet I feel all ACA and Today Tonight do is appeal and pander to the lowest common denominator.
90% of these people featured on these shows don't have real problems, they're morons. Simply idiots.
I mean, take these " victims " of outstanding mobile phone bills. They spend hundreds of dollars making calls, sending text messages and surfing the net, obviously living and spending outside their means..
Then when sent an invoice, they're shocked they've been asked to *GOD FORBID* pay the bill, then after several follow up letters asking for payment they discovery instead of owing $300, they now owe $1000.. and the cycle continues until they're so far in dept to a telco, they don't know what to do.
I know! Call ACA and tell them your a victim of a capitalistic, corrupt and immoral telecommunications giant!
Or better yet, other cases I've seen involve a dero girl getting a car loan. Purchasing a car, then deciding she doesn't want to make repayments, because she refuses to work. They chase her for the money. She has no money. She sells the car. Spends the money. They continue to chase her for the $11,000 odd dollars... she doesn't know what to do...
I know! Call Today Tonight and tell them your victim of a capitalistic, corrupt and immoral financial giant!
The list could go on and on, every second person is some idiot who doesn't understand shit doesn't come for free.

Sunrise and Today Tonight/ACA are two different things because the target audience is different. Sunrise is a news program, with some humour and lightheartedness thrown in. ACA and Today Tonight are low integrity, biased "journalism" that as nath said, appeals to the lowest common denominator, and people who think that if its on TV, it must be true.

I still remember on ACA years ago, 2003 maybe just after Dicko had got into trouble on Idol for telling Paulinie to wear some more appropriate clothing (in other words she's a fat bitch). On ACA they had a huge story going on about how it sent a bad message to women about their image blah blah blah & 20 minutes later on the same show "The new miracle weight loss solution for you!"
They've got no fucking idea!

I refuse to watch any of them especially ACA and Today Tonight. One sided arguments without hearing another side of a story. Sunrise is 7 so it's not for me. I fucking hate that channel and nearly everything it produces.
I'm not big on watching the news in general. I rarely watch it.

I watch some Sunrise, no more than 10 minutes, but in the mornings I'm usually doing other stuff before work, and then the boys wake up and take over with the kids shows.
ACA and TT...forget it, wouldn't watch them if you paid me.
The better shows aren't in the question - The new George Negus show on 10 looks like an interesting take on current affairs, and the 7PM Project is alright if I've got nothing else to do.
