OK, to make this a bit more difficult, those who have kids (myself included) can't use them here. that's an easy out.
This is about you, and something you've done in your life, that you're extremely proud of... such as start a thread of this magnitude.
Sooooo, what's something you're really proud of?

Buying a house.
Savings never being my strong point, so when we finally got to buy a house, was a huge achievement.

Like Skinny, buying a house, takes the cake.
And being financially independent and very much financially secure is my biggest achievement.

I would think the personal outweighs the professional.
Mine would be sitting across the table two Christmases ago from my father who was pretty ill and him saying to me that I have surpassed anything he could've hoped for me and that he had never been more proud of me.
So I suppose that having my father be proud of me is my proudest achievement.
PS: Nice to be back at the asylum

ah... wrestling Undertaker? Thousands of people have done that. Taking a big chance and seeing it through I find much more satisfying

My Mum is no longer with us and my moment would be similar to yours. Having my Mum say she was proud of who I had grown into. She raised myself and my 4 sisters by herself and none us are in jail, on the streets or such. Good to have you back as well. Was wondering if it was you Scott, as you came back the same time as Brett and was a Kangaroos fan. Hope you stick around mate.

Thanks Rayth. Calm Mind when you bought that car did you have the initial panic aqttack that you may have bought a lemon? I was shitting myself the first few days after buying my first car. I was convinved that it was going to be a piece of crap. Eight years it lasted me. I am still so happy with that car. Others I have had have been better cars but I haven't loved any of them as much as I loved that first car

Most of mine have been professional, as still no missus an kid, but everyone will say that about having the first child, which is understandable, but I got the house to put them in It's hard to pinpoint one achievement. My first personal one one would be, purchasing a house with my brother when I was about 19-20. Still paying the fucker off, with the help of the tennants. Can't thank them enough Well, this one is both, personal and professional, as it was my own. Running my own IT business for 11 years before closing it to help my brother with our other business ventures. Not a bad run 11 years. Saying that, my most proudest professional achievement is getting myself a DJ residency in a club, 8months after teaching myself how to do it, and then doing it better than most of the pro's. Best job in the world!Making my first track,(song for you laymen) start to finish with proper software, not a wave editor, that would also be up there. It was a track based on the game counterstrike. I used all the voices in the games as samples in the track. Not a bad effort, and I still reckon it sounds good for what I attempted to achieve. Another music one, making a track that was ripped off by many in the DJ scene, and they made their own versions of it, but I was the original, and they say, copying is the sincerest form of flattery It's just nice to know that your idea was the one that made others want to do something similar. The Beachball Lover. Yes I had to use Trish Stratus in the pic ;D I made this with 2 records. An Acappella playing over an instrumental of another track. It was GOLD, and still is. Being the leader in my IT career. I.E always one of the first to work out new shit before most seen it coming. Was also proud of being the goto guy for pretty much everyone, friends, family but more rewarding was helping co-workers and bosses and being the goto guy for info for them. I'm proud that I was the guy that people thought about when they had a technical problem.

Supporting my family.
I know it sounds somewhat small in comparison to a lot of what has been said above. But things haven't been easy since C got unwell and I can't make him feel better (physically), but this... supporting my family financially and emotionally helps.
/end sob moment.

Others I have had have been better cars but I haven't loved any of them as much as I loved that first car I didn't have a panic attack, and for quite some time it ran perfectly. About a year and a half ago I discovered tons of smoke coming out of my car, but my car was running perfectly fine apart from that, then I was informed that my motor was screwed since the day I bought it. The dealership eventually replaced the motor and all is well again. A shame I never ran into the salesman again...

This is going to sound slightly odd and weird, but I have two: 1) Proposing to my missus, on a boardwalk down south WA overlooking a placid lake, all romantic and shit (and then ruining it microseconds later by openly discussing about her micropenis clitoris that we'd need another engagement ring for, seeing the look in her teary eyes was priceless and I still get shit about it today) 2) Getting Awesome Kong with the Blue Waffle, and having her laugh her head off (and not kill me afterwards; she did chop me though).
It is slightly strange the things that I take the most pride in, are the things that are also incredibly awkward for everyone involved.
