Mimi (La bouche de Jean-Pierre) (1996) -$22
One of Gasper Noe's early Shorts I Just found out this got released in the states about 6 weeks ago due to the hype of teenagers who downloaded Enter the void and made it a cult hit and I can't believe I paid $22 for a normal DVD version of a 55 Minute Short but I wanted this one badly I couldn't download it anywhere. Hopefully this leads to a I Stand Alone and Irrerversible Bluray release

ESPN 30 for 30 Boxset episodes 1-30 (Bluray) for $55 and a excellent buy from Amazon. I watched quite a few on youtube and downloads but never got to see the complete series. ( I haven't watched it yet but for some reason I don't think this includes the more recently aired ones like Catching Hell as they are not listed on the back)  I ordered this one this morning.. HBO - Assualt In The Ring 2Disc Special Edition (DVD) $20US + $10US postage from (http://www.assaultinthering.com) It was sold out on Amazon so I parted with the tad bit expensive postage rate as I have seen the documentary before which is excellent and got it as I wanted a proper copy not a downloaded version and all the extra features which are included on it. If your a fan of boxing or want to see how low the politics of the sport can lead this tragic story is a must watch plus this dvd will be obsolete soon once its sold out. For those that do not know much about boxing this fight between Young Prospect Billy Collins and Luis Resto was highly controversial due to the fact that after the fight Resto was caught with loaded gloves. He gave the Young Prospect Collins such a beating that it damaged his eye so bad he couldn't get sanctioned to fight and soon after he eventually ran his car off the road and killed himself while drinking a going through a deep depression. The documentary talks to Luis Resto who was Jailed for it, banned for life from boxing and shows you how fucked up his guilt ridden life is right now and how he trys to find solace by wanting apologising to Billy Collins family.The trainer Panama Lewis that loaded the gloves and was involved in dodgy activity with other fighters before this was only banned for a short time and only cannot work a ring corner come fight time he can still train fighters in gyms etc.. Shows how bad the politics of the sport is and some of the shady characters that will go to any length to win. Cult comedy classic mockumentary on Rock music.
Much of it is ad libbed, they play the instruments, plus wrote & sang the songs.
Perfect parodies & dark humour. One of my all time favourites.
Cameos from Billy Crystal, Dana Carvey, Angelico Houston.

i'd love to get that 30 for 30 blu ray but as far as i can tell its only available as region A. I got it as a birthday present last weekend. I hadn't got around to watching it until last night. I can now confirm it is USA Region A locked so I have to stick with my blurray drive on my computer to watch it. They have only the DVD set available in Australia so pray for a European release or upgrade to a region free player I have given up the weed and doing well after 14 years of smoking everyday so I have been spending the cash I normally spend on that on DVD's, Blurays to keep me entertained. I just brought these four dvd's from amazon all for $69.45 posted pretty good value considering the Pistons box set had to be shipped separate from a Amazon reseller Whats with these big sports corporations UFC/NFL Films/NBA not releasing majority of there new stuff on Bluray apart from best of comps or recent superbowls & finals series. NFL Films: Legends of Autumn, Vols. 1-3 (DVD) $4.10  Don King - Only In America (1997) (DVD) $8.41  NBA Detroit Pistons 1988-1989 Champions -Motor City Madness (1989) 11 Disc Collectors Set (DVD) $24.69  UFC: Bad Blood (DVD) $11.89 (wasn't much content on it to warrant a extra $10 for the bluray version)  |

The Dark Knight Rises.
A flawless action adventure movie experience.
The character twist turn floored me, didn't see it coming, amazing.
Anne Hathaway as Catwoman was an inspired choice, purrfect (sorry!)
Out of the blue cameos were gold, as we're some of of the one liners.
Bane was brutal & singleminded.
Alfred got me all choked up near the end too.
JGL did a great job, also, so where to from here?...
